You have already discovered how the word ‘stereotype' is defined in the dictionary, and learned some typical stereotypes about some nationalities. Now, read more about the topic in the exercise below and drag and drop words to the right box. Two are too many.

Stereotypes are a sort of about a group of people involving , race, national origin, and other factors. However, it is important to know that not all generalizations are also . In most cases they are of groups widely circulated in certain societies. A generalization such as this doesn’t allow for within groups and may result in stigmatization and of groups. It is said that both negative and stereotypes exist, but all of them do . That is because all stereotypes are limiting and leave no room for .
There is a general belief that stereotypes are based on truth, but mostly by people, who often use them and want to justify their use.
