Wonder Woman

Imagine Martha, a housewife, is your people-watching observation subject. While observing her in the two pictures below, think about what sort of a person she might be. Ask yourself questions about her. Is she happy? Nervous? Irritable? Why? Which picture presents Martha on a routine day and which one on a special day today? Why?

Every day: Martha-multitasking.             Now: Martha at a spa reading.

Describe picture 1 using the verbs PUT HER FEET UP and LOUNGE AROUND (to laze about without really doing anything), and the verbs WORK and LOOK AFTER for describing activities in picture 2. What kind of sentences would you use, positive or negative? Mind the tenses.

First, read the text about Martha and choose the right verb forms. Mind the tenses.
