Navodila

How do we name European and/or world countries, their languages, nationalities, and people in English? There is a list of some of them below. Find others on the internet and add them to the list in your notebook.

You have learned about some European teens, their greetings, origins, and introductions. Now, it's your turn. First, listen to the dialogue and decide where it is happening.

Where do similar dialogues normally happen? Discuss in groups.
Now, role-play the dialogue
in pairs. Use the teenagers' information from page 2.

GRAMMAR LOG

The word ‘Nationality' is not often used in spoken English. It is a formal and official word.

We almost never say: What is your nationality?

We usually say: Where are you from?

Or: Where do you come from?

You DON'T say: My nationality is Slovenian.

You say: I'm Slovenian.
