On Monday morning, I had an appointment with my dentist. While I sat in the waiting room feeling very scared, I received a text from Chuck. He sent me a funny joke about dentists. I started to laugh. While I laughed, the patient sitting next to me asked what was so funny. I told him that I read a funny joke from my friend. He wanted to know what the joke was about. I read it aloud so that he, and everybody else in the waiting room, could hear it. The patient liked it and he started to laugh. Laughter is catching, and all the other patients started to giggle, too. Slowly their giggles turned into laughter. When the nurse entered the waiting room, we laughed happily. Imagine her surprised look.
